Thank you for checking out our page. I am originally from South Carolina but currently live in the Lake Norman area. I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from the Webster University in Columbia, South Carolina. My primary experience has been in serving children and families who struggling with emotional and behavioral health disorders for the past ten years. Additionally, I have experience working with clients that have severe persistent mental illness. Presently, I enjoy working with adults who are seeking stronger self identities and confidence in their lives, in addition to entire family units.
As your counselor, I am here to support you in making meaning, creating comfort, and uncovering resources to help you be your best self. Taking an evidenced-based, client-centered, and existentially informed approach, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space. Therefore, we will collaborate and work at your own pace to help you reach your goals. I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds on many issues. Those have included depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, career transitions, and other mental health concerns. Of special interest to me, I have sought extensive training and experience in working with the LGBTQA+ community.
In addition to more traditional counseling techniques, I also utilize art, nature-based, and experiential therapies to help clients work through distress and build resiliency. It is an honor for me to do this work. I hope to hear from you soon to see how we can best help you.
